Everything a multilingual site needs. Nothing it doesn't.
Server-side translation, your choice of AI model, and a database structure you can walk away from at any time.
Choice of AI providers
5 providers, with the model list read live from your own key. Mistral runs on EU servers for GDPR-sensitive projects.
WP-CLI with resume
Bulk translate the content of a whole site from the terminal. Interrupted runs continue where they stopped, ideal for large sites and deploy pipelines.
Clean architecture
One hash-based translation table. No post duplication, and your translations stay in your own database, even if you deactivate the plugin.
Transparent pricing
No credit packs. You pay your AI provider only for actual usage: 10K words ≈ €0.03 with Gemini Flash Lite.
Server-side translation
No heavy frontend JavaScript: pages are translated on the server from your database and cached.
Built-in migration
Import translations from WPML, TranslatePress and Polylang. Weglot and GTranslate sites are detected and re-translated with your own key.
Context-aware quality
Brand context, a glossary and excluded terms steer the AI towards your wording.
No vendor lock-in
Your translations are plain rows in your own database. Nothing is deleted if you deactivate or remove the plugin.
All-in-one
WooCommerce, hreflang, sitemaps, multi-domain and slug translation included.
Dynamic data
NagataPress translates the final page, so text from Bricks or Elementor dynamic data is translated at render once it has been translated.
Frontend sidebar editor
Fix any string directly on the page you are looking at.
Set up in minutes
Activate your licence, paste an API key, pick your languages and start a bulk run. Most sites need nothing else.
A free way to start
OpenRouter offers free models, so you can run a first translation with no AI cost (rate limits apply).
Developer friendly
WP-CLI, filters for batch size, limits and pricing, and an MCP endpoint for AI assistants.
Admin in 8 languages
The plugin interface comes in English, Czech, Slovak, German, French, Spanish, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese.
Built for real websites
Shops, magazines and agency sites: the details that decide whether a translated site is ready to launch.
WooCommerce, end to end
Products, attributes, cart and checkout are translated. Each order remembers its language, and payment gateways that follow the WordPress locale open in it.
E-mails in the customer's language
Order e-mails can go out in the language the customer used, with an editor, live preview and test send. Switch it on when you are ready.
Page builders
Reads Elementor, Bricks, Breakdance, Oxygen, Beaver Builder, Divi, WPBakery, Gutenberg blocks and ACF fields.
hreflang and sitemap
hreflang with x-default on every page, and a translated sitemap that lists every language version.
Translated slugs
Slugs are translated automatically, then editable segment by segment. Changed addresses redirect with a 301.
Three URL formats
Subdirectory (/de/), query parameter (?lang=de) or a separate domain or subdomain for each language.
Language switcher
A floating widget or the [nagatapress] shortcode, in ten styles, with flags or language codes.
Right-to-left languages
Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu switch to a right-to-left layout automatically.
SEO tags
Canonical, Open Graph and meta description tags are rewritten for every language.
Scheduled posts
Optionally translate scheduled posts shortly before they go live, one hour ahead by default.
Menus and listings
Menus, widgets, taxonomy terms and archive listings are translated along with your content.
Cache-friendly
Clears your caching plugin when translations change: WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache and more.
Quality you can steer
Tell the AI how your brand sounds, protect the words that must not change, and fix any string by hand.
Brand context
Describe your brand, tone and special instructions once. Contextual mode adds them to every request.
Glossary
Fix how key terms are translated for each language pair. The AI has to follow your list.
Excluded terms
Never translate the brand names or product codes you list. They keep their original casing in every language.
CSS exclusions
Keep any part of a page in the source language with a CSS selector, or add the notranslate class.
Manual edits are safe
A string you fixed by hand is never overwritten by a later automatic run.
Checked answers
Every AI answer is validated before it is stored. Shifted, damaged or incomplete answers are refused, not saved.
Numbers and prices
Prices and counters are masked, so every page of "Showing 1-48 of 26,108" reuses one translation instead of costing one each.
Sentences, not fragments
Sentences that contain links or formatting are translated whole, with placeholders that keep the markup intact.
More than body text
Alt text, titles, placeholders, button labels, meta descriptions and social titles are translated too.
Self-cleaning database
Old wording is removed 14 days after you edit a text, and unused translations after a year (adjustable).
Prices up front
Every model shows its estimated price per 1,000 words, and a monthly report shows what you actually spent.
Translation memory
Each text is stored once per language and reused wherever it appears, so repeated text is never paid for twice.
No API key? Use the AI assistant you already pay for.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or another MCP client. It fetches untranslated text in batches, translates it itself and sends it back. You sign in with your WordPress account over OAuth 2.1, and there is no key to paste.
Experimental and off by default. Needs HTTPS and pretty permalinks. The same tools are also offered as WordPress Abilities (WordPress 6.9+).
Gentle on your server, careful with your data
Long translation runs are built not to take a small host down, and your keys and content stay under your control.
Background jobs
Bulk runs work through WP-Cron in the background. Close the browser, come back later, then resume or retry errors.
Load-aware
The job pauses when server load, the database or your own pages get slow. A Gentle pace is there for small hosting.
Rate-limit aware
Batch size adapts to each provider, and rate-limit or credit errors pause the job with a plain-language reason.
Encrypted keys
API and licence keys are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Only the last four characters are ever shown.
Direct to your provider
Your text goes from your server straight to the provider you chose, never through our servers.
No visitor tracking
The plugin sets no cookies for your visitors and collects no visitor data.
What would your site cost to translate?
One-time AI cost for translating existing content. You pay the provider directly; after that, pages are served from your database for free.
Estimates based on current public API pricing. Actual cost depends on content length and complexity.
Included in every licence. No add-ons.
75 languages and 10 regional variants
Pick as many as you need. There is no cap on the number of languages you enable.
Regional variants: en-US, en-GB, en-AU, es-ES, es-MX, es-AR, pt-BR, pt-PT, fr-FR, fr-CA
What you need to run it
Nothing exotic: a current WordPress, an AI provider key and a host that can run background jobs.
WordPress
WordPress 5.0 or newer, tested up to 7.1.
PHP
PHP 7.4 or newer with the dom, mbstring, json and openssl extensions. curl is recommended.
Web server
Apache and LiteSpeed get their rewrite rules automatically. On nginx, keep the standard WordPress routing.
Cron
Background work needs WP-Cron or a system cron, and a site that can request its own pages.
Licence and AI key
An active licence and an API key from your AI provider. OpenRouter has free models to start with.
AI assistant mode
HTTPS and pretty permalinks, if you connect an AI assistant over MCP.
